NASA's Juno Spacecraft Completes 66th Flyby of Jupiter, Captures Stunning Images

On November 7, 2024, NASA's Juno spacecraft completed its 66th flyby of Jupiter, returning a new set of striking images.

Equipped with a two-megapixel visible-light camera known as JunoCam, the spacecraft is designed to study the dynamics of Jupiter's clouds and the surface characteristics of its moons.

Launched in 2011, Juno arrived at Jupiter in 2016 after traveling approximately 2.7 billion kilometers. Since then, it has been conducting close passes of the planet and its moons, capturing detailed images and sending back an abundance of scientific data.
