Leroy Chiao, former commander of the International Space Station (ISS), has reported two UFO sightings, one in orbit and another over Texas in August 2023.
While flying at 2.5 kilometers, Chiao encountered two metallic spheres approximately one meter in diameter, which flew past his aircraft at a distance of six meters. These objects did not appear on his radar or that of the nearby airport.
Chiao speculated that they could be military drones but acknowledged the possibility of them being extraterrestrial in origin.
His first encounter occurred during a spacewalk in 2004, where he observed strange lights moving at high speed near the ISS. Despite his colleague not witnessing this event, Chiao remains convinced it was an unidentified flying object.
Chiao believes humanity is not alone in the universe and anticipates that genuine contact with extraterrestrial beings may occur in the future.
