The Revival of Rebola Grapes – A Story Filled with the Taste of Time

One of the most remarkable efforts is the work of the Rimini Rebola Association, which has revived the rare Rebola grape variety, first documented in 1437.

Winemaker Davide Bigucci from Podere Vecciano was among the first to invest in restoring this variety. His approach combines tradition and innovation: he employs ancient winemaking techniques, such as fermentation in Georgian and Armenian amphorae. This process unlocks the depth of flavors, capturing the essence of the region and bringing history into every bottle.

Preserving Forgotten Gifts of Nature

Beyond grapes, local farmers are working to protect rare plant varieties, including:
