Apple has released iOS 18.1, introducing significant AI enhancements and bug fixes.
The update is available for all iPhone models starting from SE, but AI features, branded as Apple Intelligence, are exclusive to iPhone 16, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
In addition to iOS, Apple is updating iPadOS and macOS, with AI functionalities supported on iPads and Macs equipped with M1 chips.
Initially, Apple Intelligence will support U.S. English, with plans to add more languages over the next year. Key features include generating emojis from descriptions, creating images, and enhancing Siri's contextual understanding.
The update also enhances the Control Center, enlarges the emoji keyboard, and adds notification count icons on the lock screen.
Notably, users can now record phone and FaceTime calls. iPhone 16 models have quick access to the TrueDepth camera, while the iPhone 15 Pro series introduces a spatial photo mode.
For AirPods, a new hearing acuity check and Hearing Aid feature have been added to improve listening experiences.
