From November 21 to 23, 2024, the online presentation round of the Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Competition 2024 took place, featuring the best candidates from the preliminary rounds.
During this round, each contestant had 10 minutes to present their ideas and answer questions from the jury. The organization noted the exceptional uniformity among participants this year, highlighting their presentation skills, language proficiency, and thorough preparation.
In the medical field, contestants proposed AI solutions for brain research, medical consultations, and relieving pressure on healthcare systems. These innovative and practical ideas aim to enhance healthcare quality.
In the arts, some teams impressed with their research on the AIWS Concert Hall, a global music collaboration platform. Their concepts not only bridged cultural gaps but also addressed social issues like copyright challenges in AI-generated art.
After each presentation, jury representative Professor Thomas E. Patterson from Harvard provided insightful feedback and future suggestions, helping contestants identify strengths and areas for improvement.
Professor Patterson remarked, "This has been a memorable and emotional experience for me. Over six hours, I was fortunate to witness the creativity and efforts of these young individuals. Their unique ideas and sharp thinking were truly inspiring."
The live presentation round served as a platform for contestants to showcase their ideas while learning from leading experts. The success of this year’s competition reflects the dedication of participants and the professionalism of the organizers.
After three months of preparation, the Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Competition 2024 attracted many unique and valuable ideas from contestants nationwide. Following the presentations, the jury selected outstanding individuals and teams for awards.
The final results will be announced at the Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Forum - the Award Ceremony for the 2024 AI Awards, scheduled for December 21, 2024, at the Sheraton Hanoi Hotel. This event will honor young talents and innovative ideas while providing opportunities for contestants to connect with top global experts.
