COPENHAGEN & LONDON, 1 Oct. 2024 - Logpoint has acquired Danish cybersecurity firm Muninn, integrating its AI-driven Network Detection & Response (NDR) capabilities into Logpoint's Cyber Defense Platform. This move aims to meet the rising demand for advanced cyber threat detection and response.
Logpoint CEO Mikkel Drucker stated, “With Muninn, we can enhance our offering... We accelerate the innovation of AI-enabled products to advance security posture and minimize cyber risk.” The acquisition is expected to improve visibility and threat detection, allowing organizations and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) to respond to incidents 50% faster.
Muninn's technology will augment Logpoint’s existing capabilities, enabling real-time prevention of cyberattacks. The integration of Muninn's talented AI professionals will further bolster Logpoint's Labs team, which focuses on security research and AI innovation.
Jacob Frandsen, a partner at Summa Equity, emphasized the alignment of both companies with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, stating that their collaboration will enhance cyber resilience across Europe.
Logpoint, the largest SIEM vendor in Europe, is committed to complying with European data protection regulations and has a Common Criteria EAL3+ certification, underscoring its focus on robust cybersecurity solutions.
