Argentina to Host First Ever High-Performance Sports Games in 2025

The Argentine Olympic Committee has officially designated Rosario as the host city for the inaugural Argentine High-Performance Games (Jadar), scheduled for September 2025. This event marks a historic milestone as it will be the first multi-sport competition in Argentina, bringing together over 3,500 athletes across conventional and adapted sports disciplines.

The announcement was made during an official launch event following the signing of a binding agreement at the Carrasco Hall of the Rosario Municipality. Key figures present included the presidents and general secretaries of the Argentine Olympic Committee and the Argentine Paralympic Committee, as well as local government officials.

Jadar will take place every four years, featuring representatives from all 24 provinces competing in approximately 50 sports disciplines. Over 600 judges and 700 coaches are expected to participate, with the main venue being Parque Independencia, which will also host a Fan Fest to engage the community.

José María Valladares, president of Copar, emphasized the unique nature of these Games, stating that they embody the philosophy of inclusive sports, aiming to integrate athletes with disabilities alongside their conventional counterparts. Mario Moccia, president of the COA, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the significance of collaborative management in promoting sports inclusivity.
