Director David F. Sandberg Announces Wrap on 'Until Dawn' Movie Filming in Budapest, Set for October 2025 Release

Director David F. Sandberg has announced the completion of principal photography for the highly anticipated movie adaptation of the 2015 PS4 horror game 'Until Dawn.' The film, shot in Budapest, Hungary, began production in August and is slated for release in October 2025.

The screenplay is penned by Gary Dauberman, who also serves as a producer. The cast includes Maia Mitchell, Belmont Cameli, and Peter Stormare, who reprises his role as Dr. Hill from the original video game, marking a unique connection to the source material.

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Sandberg expressed his excitement for returning to the horror genre, saying, 'I've been longing to do horror again after Lights Out and Annabelle: Creation. This film explores the many great subgenres of horror to create the most terrifying experience possible.'
