Manufacturing also benefits from AR technologies, with Boeing integrating Google Glass into aircraft production and partnering with Red 6 for fighter pilot training enhancements.

In retail, brands such as IKEA and Toyota are leveraging AR to create interactive customer experiences. Meanwhile, in healthcare, AR glasses are being used in surgeries to overlay imaging data, improving precision and efficiency.

Apple is reportedly conducting an internal study on AR glasses, while Meta and Snap have previewed similar technologies. Despite the potential benefits, ethical concerns regarding surveillance and data privacy remain significant as AR adoption grows.

According to IDC, global shipments of AR/VR headsets are expected to increase by 41.4% in 2025. However, challenges such as high costs and production scaling persist, which may hinder widespread adoption.
