The first-ever Dog Christmas Market in South Brandenburg has brought together dog lovers and their furry friends to celebrate the festive season. On the first Sunday of Advent, the event took place behind the old train station in Annahütte, attracting many visitors eager to enjoy a unique holiday experience.

Organizer Susann Jentzsch expressed cautious optimism during the preparations. No one had ever seen a Christmas market quite like this one, designed to create a cozy gathering for dog school clients. The turnout exceeded expectations, with around 250 to 300 visitors and 120 to 150 dogs attending.

Visitors praised the thoughtful organization and diverse offerings. Stalls featured handmade dog accessories, services from local dog schools, and even opportunities for paw prints or photos with pets. Despite the large number of dogs, the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, contributing to a joyful experience for all.

The venue, Wilde Lausitz, proved to be the perfect setting. Although the organizers underestimated food demand, they plan to improve for next year. The concept of a Christmas market for dogs and their owners has succeeded, providing a platform for pet lovers to connect and share ideas.

Excited dog owners can look forward to a repeat event next year, as Jentzsch mentioned they are considering how to enhance the experience based on visitor feedback. A heartfelt thank you goes to all helpers, exhibitors, and attendees who made the day so special.
