UN, African Union, and Partners Convene in Ethiopia to Address Sudan's Humanitarian Crisis

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – A high-level conference co-organized by the African Union, the United Arab Emirates, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), and the UN was held to mobilize international support for Sudan. The meeting, hosted in Addis Ababa, aimed to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Khartoum. UN Secretary-General António Guterres, African Union Commission Chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat, Kenyan President William Ruto, and IGAD Executive Secretary Workneh Gebeyehu were among the attendees. Diplomatic efforts to foster collaboration among Sudan, Ethiopia, and regional partners remain a priority to achieve sustainable solutions for peace and development.
