US Transfers Patriot Missiles to Poland Amid Ongoing Ukraine Conflict

This week, the United States has relocated approximately 90 Patriot air defense missiles from Israel to Poland, with plans to subsequently deliver them to Ukraine. This action comes as part of ongoing military support for Ukraine amid its conflict with Russia.

In a related development, a European official reported that Brussels and Washington have agreed on the necessity of maintaining 'maximum pressure' on Vladimir Putin. This agreement followed the first phone call between EU Foreign Minister Kaia Kalas and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration on global issues, particularly regarding the war in Ukraine.

On Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin reiterated Russia's willingness to negotiate an end to the conflict in Ukraine, but he dismissed any direct talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whom he described as 'illegitimate.' Putin stated that if Zelensky wished to negotiate, he would select representatives for the discussions, further asserting that the conflict could conclude in 'two months or less' if Western support for Ukraine ceased.

Despite Trump's expressed desire for a swift resolution to the conflict, concerns persist regarding the potential for a ceasefire that may favor Moscow. Kyiv has warned against being excluded from peace negotiations, accusing Putin of attempting to manipulate the situation.
