Movistar Team Finalizes Roster for 2025 with Cimolai Renewal

The Movistar Team is finalizing its lineup for the 2025 cycling season, confirming the renewal of Italian sprinter Davide Cimolai for another year. This decision comes after weeks of uncertainty regarding contractual negotiations, which have now been reactivated.

Cimolai, who joined Movistar from Cofidis last season, has had a productive year, with four Top 5 finishes and a total of 70 days of competition. His performance has proven beneficial for the team, which is looking to build on its successes as it prepares for the upcoming season.

In addition to Cimolai's renewal, Movistar has made several strategic signings and departures. The team has officially announced the arrivals of Aular, Castrillo, Pescador, and Tesfatsion, while also confirming the departures of Aranburu, Jacobs, Lazkano, Vinicius, Samitier, and Sosa. Notably, Remi Cavagna has mutually agreed to part ways with the team despite having a contract until 2026.

With these changes, Movistar currently has 27 riders confirmed for 2025. The team is also in talks regarding the renewal of key riders such as Enric Mas, who is expected to compete for a podium finish at the upcoming Il Lombardia event.
