Uranus and Neptune's Diamond Rain Could Aid Space Construction

编辑者: Uliana S. Аj

Diamonds forming as solids in specific atmospheric layers of Neptune, and potentially Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus, may serve as resources for constructing space objects. This information was reported by Mikhail Charny, a leading expert from the National Technological Initiative (NTI). According to Charny, the conditions on Uranus and Neptune, gas giants on the Solar System's periphery, transform hydrocarbon compounds into diamond dust due to immense pressure. Pavel Kamnev, commercial director of the 'Laboratory of the Future' company and an expert in the NTI Aeronet market, added that obtaining and delivering lunar soil samples to Earth, and potentially Mars in the future, is feasible. Mining resources on other planets in the Solar System is a long-term prospect.
