Crew Dragon Mission Return Delayed to October 10 Due to Weather

The return of the Crew Dragon spacecraft, part of NASA's Crew-8 mission, has been postponed to October 10 due to unfavorable weather conditions, as reported by Roscosmos on October 6, 2024.

The spacecraft, which launched on March 4, 2024, from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, was initially scheduled to undock from the International Space Station (ISS) on October 8. The delay follows a previous postponement from October 7 due to adverse weather in the splashdown zones off the Florida coast.

Among the Crew-8 astronauts is Russian cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin. Currently, the ISS is hosting the crew of Expedition 72, which includes Russian cosmonauts Alexey Ovchinin, Ivan Wagner, Alexander Grebenkin, and Alexander Gorbunov, along with NASA astronauts Donald Pettit, Matthew Dominick, Janette Epps, Michael Barrett, Barry Wilmore, Nick Hague, and Sunita Williams.
