Kyiv, Ukraine - The New Zealand government has announced a new aid package for Ukraine, totaling $16 million. This was revealed by Foreign Minister Christopher Luxon and Defence Minister Winston Peters during a meeting on the sidelines of the upcoming NATO summit in Gaas.

The aid package includes both military and humanitarian components. A portion of the funds, approximately $4 million, will be directed to international funds supporting Ukraine's military and non-lethal support. Additionally, $7 million will be allocated for humanitarian assistance to Ukrainian communities.

The announcement comes amid ongoing international efforts to support Ukraine in the face of the ongoing conflict. The aid package is expected to provide critical support to the Ukrainian people and contribute to the country's defense capabilities.

According to Minister Luxon, "Ukraine's situation has a profound impact not only on Europe but also on the stability of the Indo-Pacific region. We must stand together with the international community in supporting the rules-based order."

The new aid package reflects New Zealand's commitment to supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
