Microsoft is investing approximately €7.3 billion to construct three data centers in Aragon, Spain, located in Parque Venecia, La Muela, and Villamayor de Gállego. The investment is projected to have a significant economic impact, potentially increasing Aragon's GDP by 2% to 4% between 2026 and 2030. The expansion is expected to generate over 174,000 jobs in Spain, with more than 5,000 direct and indirect jobs in Aragon. Microsoft's cloud ecosystem, including partners and clients, could contribute €2.685 billion to Aragon's GDP during the same period. Beyond economic gains, the project aims to enhance regional competitiveness, promote digitalization, and foster a knowledge-based economy. The expansion of Microsoft's Azure network in Aragon is anticipated to generate approximately €85 billion in accumulated wealth between 2026 and 2030 through its partner ecosystem and cloud users.
