France and Vietnam to Strengthen Transport Ties at Paris Air Show in June

France and Vietnam are set to strengthen their cooperation in transport, with discussions planned around aviation, maritime, and rail sectors. French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot has invited his Vietnamese counterpart, Tran Hong Minh, to the Paris Air Show and the UN Oceans Conference, both in June. Vietnam is currently constructing the Long Thanh International Airport, expected to handle 100 million passengers annually, offering opportunities for global aviation companies. Vietnam is also seeking French support for its North-South high-speed rail project, focusing on training, infrastructure modernization, and experience exchange in high-speed rail development. The meetings in June are expected to foster collaboration and expand connections between the two nations and within the ASEAN region.
