UAE to Implement New e-Invoicing System in 2025 Requiring Accredited Service Providers

The UAE's Ministry of Finance is set to implement a new e-Invoicing system in 2025, marking a significant step in the nation's digital transformation. Ministerial Decision No. 64 of 2025 outlines the eligibility criteria and accreditation procedure for service providers under the Electronic Invoicing System. Only accredited service providers will be permitted to offer eInvoicing services, ensuring that all eInvoices and credit notes are issued in structured digital formats that are machine-readable. The Ministry of Finance has also introduced the Accreditation of eInvoicing Service Providers Portal to streamline the accreditation process. Accreditation will be granted for a renewable period of two years, with periodic evaluations to assess providers' compliance.
