From February 11 to 13, 2025, Dubai will host the World Governments Summit (WGS), a significant gathering of over 30 heads of state, 400 ministers, 80 international organizations, and 6,000 participants. This event aims to explore solutions for economic stability, digital transformation, and public-private collaboration in addressing global challenges.
The WGS serves as a key platform for dialogue among governments, industries, and global institutions, focusing on the rapid technological advancements and geopolitical changes shaping today's world. H.E. Mohammad Al Gergawi, UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Summit, stated, "This year, the Summit fosters a global dialogue addressing the rapid changes and emerging challenges facing governments and societies."
Key topics of discussion will include the role of artificial intelligence in governance, economic resilience, climate adaptation, and global health transformation. The event will feature 21 forums and over 200 interactive sessions, with participation from more than 300 global experts who will contribute to the development of 30 strategic reports.
Notable leaders, including Kristalina Georgieva of the International Monetary Fund and Ahmed Aboul Gheit of the League of Arab States, will attend, emphasizing the summit's commitment to fostering cooperation and knowledge exchange. Additionally, over 30 high-level ministerial meetings will facilitate the sharing of best practices across sectors.
The summit will also recognize outstanding achievements through awards such as 'The Best Minister Award' and 'The Global Government Excellence Award,' highlighting effective governance and innovation in public service.
