US Halts Missile Deliveries to Ukraine Amidst Stock Concerns, Continues Support

Edited by: S Света

On July 2, 2025, the Pentagon announced the suspension of certain air defense missile deliveries and other precision munitions to Ukraine, citing concerns about dwindling US stocks. This decision was later confirmed by the White House.

The decision follows Russia's control of approximately one-fifth of Ukrainian territory and its continued advances in the southeastern regions of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk. Russian air strikes have intensified nationwide.

Previously, in March 2025, the Trump administration suspended all foreign assistance programs for 90 days, including military aid to Ukraine, to conduct a review. Subsequently, in March 2025, the United States and Ukraine agreed on a 30-day interim armistice, which could be extended subject to Russia's agreement.

Despite these measures, the United States has continued to provide Ukraine with military assistance and information to support its defense against Russian aggression. For example, in June 2025, President Donald Trump expressed a willingness to provide Ukraine with additional Patriot missile batteries to help defend against Russian attacks.

In conclusion, in July 2025, the United States suspended some air defense missile deliveries to Ukraine due to low stocks, but continues to support Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression through other forms of military assistance and information.
