Trump Plans Talks With Putin and Zelenskyy on Ukraine Ceasefire

Donald Trump announced plans to speak with Vladimir Putin regarding a ceasefire in Ukraine. Trump stated his goal is to stop the bloodshed, estimating 5,000 Russian and Ukrainian soldiers are killed weekly. He also intends to speak with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and NATO members. Prior to Trump's planned call with Putin, Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Rubio acknowledged the prisoner exchange agreed upon in Turkey. He also reiterated Trump's call for a ceasefire and an end to the violence in Ukraine.
