India Offers Zero-Tariff Trade Deal to United States, According to Trump

Edited by: Света Света

Donald Trump stated on Thursday that India has offered the United States a trade deal with "zero tariffs." This proposal comes as New Delhi seeks to finalize a trade agreement with the U.S. during the 90-day pause announced by Trump. Prior to this pause, Trump had imposed tariffs of 26% on India. India is the United States' primary trade partner, with bilateral trade reaching $129 billion in 2024. Currently, the trade balance favors India, which has a trade surplus of $45.7 billion with the United States.
