Trump's Approval Rating Drops to 42% in New Poll

A new poll indicates that Donald Trump's approval rating has fallen to 42%. This is the lowest it has been since he returned to the White House in January.

The Reuters/Ipsos poll shows a further 1% drop in Trump's popularity. His approval rating was at 47% immediately after his inauguration on January 20.

The poll also revealed that many Americans disapprove of Trump's actions. These include his efforts to punish universities he deems too liberal.

Approximately 83% of respondents believe the president must abide by federal court decisions. This is even if he disagrees with them.

57% of respondents disagreed with the idea of defunding universities based on disagreement with their management. 66% also opposed presidential control over cultural institutions.

The poll indicated that Americans disapprove of Trump's handling of various issues. These issues range from inflation and immigration to taxes and the rule of law.

Approximately 59% of respondents believe America is losing credibility globally. Three-quarters of respondents believe Trump should not seek a third term.
