Blue Origin's NS-31 mission, set to launch on April 14, 2025, from Launch Site One in West Texas, will feature an all-female crew. This marks the first all-female spaceflight since Valentina Tereshkova's solo mission in 1963. The New Shepard launch window opens at 8:30 a.m. CDT / 13:30 UTC. The crew includes Lauren Sánchez, Jeff Bezos' fiancée, who brought the mission together, along with pop star Katy Perry, CBS Mornings host Gayle King, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, bioastronautics researcher Amanda Nguyen, and film producer Kerianne Flynn. The suborbital flight will last approximately 11 minutes, taking the crew beyond the Kármán line, the internationally recognized boundary of space at 100 kilometers (62 miles) above Earth. During the flight, they will experience several minutes of weightlessness and observe Earth from a unique perspective. Blue Origin's New Shepard program has flown 52 people above the Kármán line to date. The cost of a seat on New Shepard flights is not publicly disclosed, though past estimates have ranged from $200,000 to over a million USD. This mission will be the 11th human flight for the New Shepard program and the 31st in its history.
