The Trump administration initiated a $200 million campaign encouraging undocumented immigrants to voluntarily leave the U.S. The campaign includes a self-reporting departure app and media ads featuring warnings of permanent deportation. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem stated that those who do not leave will be caught and permanently barred from returning. The campaign, titled "Stay Out and Leave Now," combines the ad blitz with the self-reporting departure app. The administration also announced mandatory registration for most foreigners aged 14 and older staying in the country for over 30 days, excluding visa holders and legal residents. The CBP Home app, an overhaul of the CBP One app, was launched to provide a way for illegal aliens to leave before facing harsher consequences. In February, Border Patrol agents recorded 8,300 illegal crossings, the lowest monthly total in decades. DHS has spent nearly $2.4 million running ads in various U.S. markets, featuring immigration arrests and footage of President Trump at the border.
