Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrij Sybiha has reiterated the nation's firm stance against any territorial concessions to Russia in potential peace negotiations in 2025. Speaking before the parliament in Kyiv, Sybiha emphasized that Ukraine will not accept “peace at any cost,” and will never recognize occupied territories as Russian.

Sybiha also ruled out limitations on the armed forces, arms industry, foreign military support, or the presence of foreign troops in Ukraine. He reaffirmed Ukraine's commitment to pursuing Nato membership, rejecting any veto power from Russia or other states. These statements come amid ongoing discussions about potential compromises, while Russia demands Ukraine recognize occupied territories, demilitarize, and abandon aspirations to join the EU and Nato.

The foreign minister highlighted that Ukraine will continue to advance its peace agenda through a focused diplomatic format that includes the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France. Sybiha emphasized that the country will never accept the Russian occupation of any part of its territory, will not agree to any restrictions on its defense forces or defense industry, and will reject any limitations on its sovereignty—including its right to join alliances of its choosing.
