Iranian and U.S. officials are expected to hold talks amid a stalemate in nuclear negotiations. The initial meeting of experts is scheduled to occur in Vienna before a meeting between the special envoy, Steve Weitkoff, and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi next week.

According to a U.S. administration official, Michael Anton, who accompanied Weitkoff in the last round of talks in Rome, is the designated representative, given his expertise. He will implement President Trump's agenda during the meeting.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry previously announced expert-level meetings between Iran and the United States in Vienna and potentially a higher-level third meeting in Oman. The new round of talks is expected to address technical and political issues related to Tehran's naval program.
