The lawsuit alleges a pattern of targeting individuals associated with protests for Palestinian rights in retaliation for their political speech. Ms. Chung is among several university students the administration has attempted to detain and deport. Other students facing deportation include Cornell doctoral student Momodou Taal and Columbia international student Ranjani Srinivasan, whose visa was revoked. The administration has also revoked $400 million in Columbia funding over allegations of failing to combat antisemitism on campus.
