Iran and Thailand Aim to Strengthen Diplomatic Ties on 7th Anniversary
Tehran and Bangkok agreed to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Iran and Thailand by upgrading bilateral relations. During a meeting between the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister and Director-General of the Foreign Ministry for Asia and Oceania with senior Thai officials, discussions focused on increasing political consultations, enhancing bilateral cooperation, and implementing joint projects. The Thai side acknowledged Iran's efforts to secure the release of Thai prisoners and emphasized the historical ties between the two countries, affirming the political will to improve cooperation. Both parties agreed to exchange high-level delegations, form a joint economic committee, continue political consultations, and exchange expertise in science, technology, and cultural projects. Officials from both foreign ministries underscored the importance of multilateralism in addressing global challenges and the need to expand cooperation.
