The Region of Murcia, Spain, participated in the fifth coordination meeting of the Biowind project in Kielce, Poland. The project focuses on promoting social acceptance of wind energy through integrated, participatory, and environmentally friendly planning.
The meeting involved discussions on technical and strategic advancements, progress reviews, and the definition of future steps. A central aspect was the peer review activity, where the Murcia team presented its methodology for evaluating and improving energy policy instruments.
Other key topics included the status of technical reports, deadlines, integration of lessons learned, development of a common framework for biodiversity risk assessment, and the project's sustainability strategy. The Biowind consortium includes 11 entities from eight European Union countries, aiming to develop shared solutions for a sustainable energy transition.
