uk Considers Personalized Health Mots Inspired by Japan

Edited by: Татьяна Гуринович

The UK is exploring personalized “health MOTs” inspired by practices in Japan. This initiative aims to revolutionize healthcare delivery, particularly for those nearing retirement age.

The proposed approach combines genetic studies and AI machine learning to create personalized medical plans. Health Secretary Wes Streeting highlighted Japan's advancements in science, technology, and support for an aging population as key inspirations.

The goal is to diagnose earlier, treat faster, and predict and prevent illnesses. NHS England previously introduced health MOTs for patients over 65 or with frailty-related conditions in emergency departments.
