Edited by: Татьяна Гуринович

Germany is implementing a nationwide electronic health record (ePA) system. The ePA will be available across the country by the end of April. Mandatory use in medical practices and hospitals begins in October. Over 70 million people with statutory health insurance will be affected. They will be able to securely manage and control their health data. The system allows patients to control who has access to their health information via a smartphone app.
