The U.S. insists that any deal between the U.S. and Iran must include conditions regarding Iran's nuclear program, uranium enrichment, and the creation of weapons of mass destruction. This statement was made by U.S. President's special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Whitkoff. Indirect negotiations took place in Oman on April 12 between Steve Whitkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. According to the American leader, the negotiations were positive and constructive. In 2015, Britain, Germany, China, Russia, the U.S., France, and Iran concluded a nuclear deal (JCPOA), which involved the lifting of sanctions in exchange for restrictions on Iran's nuclear program.
