South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, who was impeached by the National Assembly in December 2024, has been reinstated after the Constitutional Court rejected the impeachment motion on March 24. The agency "Renhap" reported this.

Han, also serving as acting president, will resume his duties, including overseeing state affairs, until the appointment of a new prime minister. President Yoon Suk Yeol was against the impeachment. The Constitutional Court stated that it acknowledges the parliament's decision but trusts that Han will fulfill his presidential duties responsibly. Yoon Suk Yeol unsuccessfully tried to block the impeachment, citing "anti-state activities" by the opposition. On December 14, the National Assembly voted to impeach Yoon.
