Cluj Airport to Use Sustainable Aviation Fuel Starting 2025

Cluj International Airport and OMV Petrom are partnering to support the energy transition by adopting sustainable solutions in the aviation sector. OMV Petrom will supply Cluj International Airport with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) starting in 2025. Starting January 2025, aircraft departing from Cluj Airport will be fueled with a blend containing 2% SAF, reducing environmental impact. Approximately 1800 flights have already been operated in January and February using this fuel, covering all departures from the airport.
