Ukraine and the United Kingdom signed an agreement on Saturday to accelerate loans worth $2.8 billion to Ukraine. The loan will be repaid with revenues from blocked Russian assets, according to the UK's Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves.

The agreement is part of the UK's "unwavering and continued support to the Ukrainian people." Ukraine's Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko expressed gratitude for the "much-needed" agreement. The loans add to the UK's current funding of approximately $3.7 billion per year to Ukraine.
