GUS Technology and Toshiba Collaborate on Next-Generation Lithium-Ion Batteries

Taoyuan, November 20, 2024 – GUS Technology, a prominent player in Taiwan's lithium-ion battery sector, has signed a technical support and licensing agreement with Japan's Toshiba Corporation. The partnership aims to commercialize next-generation lithium-ion battery cells using niobium-titanium oxide (NTO) as an anode, offering superior performance, enhanced safety, and cost-efficient solutions, with a global market launch planned for next year.

The collaboration combines GUS Technology's expertise in pouch cell manufacturing with Toshiba's advanced material science to develop innovative NTO lithium-ion batteries.
