Pakistan To Lead UNSC in 2025

On July 1, 2025, Pakistan will assume the presidency of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

This marks Pakistan's eighth term in the Security Council, with its current non-permanent mandate lasting until December 31, 2026.

Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, Munir Akram, stated that the country intends to use its presidency to address global challenges and contribute to resolving international conflicts.
