Brussels, June 20, 2025 - The European External Action Service (EEAS) has identified potential breaches of the EU-Israel Association Agreement by Israel, specifically concerning operations in Gaza.
The assessment, based on reports from independent institutions, focuses on restrictions on humanitarian aid, attacks with high civilian casualties, and targeting of medical facilities. EU foreign ministers are scheduled to discuss these findings.
Nine EU countries have urged the European Commission to propose measures to end EU trade with Israeli settlements in occupied Palestinian territories, referencing the ICJ's advisory opinion.
