A UN report released Thursday states that a steady flow of illegal weapons smuggled into Haiti is exacerbating gang violence and contributing to severe human rights abuses. The report indicates that more than 4,200 people were killed and 1,356 injured between July and February. The findings follow a visit to Haiti by William O'Neill, the UN human rights commissioner's expert on Haiti.
