Edited by: Татьяна Гуринович
Israel is set to release 602 Palestinian prisoners on Saturday as part of the sixth exchange for hostages held in Gaza, according to a Palestinian NGO announcement on Friday. The release aligns with the current truce agreement. Of those to be freed, 445 are from Gaza and were detained following the "Al Aqsa Flood" operation on October 7, 2023. Sixty of the prisoners are serving significant sentences, including 50 with life sentences. Furthermore, 47 had been previously released in a 2011 exchange before being rearrested, stated Amani Sarahneh, spokesperson for the Palestinian Prisoners Club.
