On May 19, 2025, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) announced the successful destruction of a Russian radar station (RLS) and storage facilities situated on gas production platforms in the Black Sea. The SBU reported that the operation was executed using domestically-produced naval and air drones.

The special operation was carried out by personnel from the 13th Main Directorate of Military Counterintelligence of the SBU. The operation involved a coordinated two-phase drone strike. Initially, one of the platforms was struck by air-launched drones, which was followed by an attack from naval drones.

The SBU stated that the RLS "Neva," which the Russian Armed Forces used for monitoring air and surface activity, was destroyed, along with storage facilities and a residential block on the platform. The Russian side has not yet released any information regarding the attack. The SBU claims that previous drone strikes have damaged the Crimean Bridge and 11 Russian warships.
