Severe flooding hits argentina, prompting evacuations

Edited by: Татьяна Гуринович

Heavy rains caused severe flooding in parts of Argentina. The city of 9 de Julio and Chacabuco were particularly affected. This occurred on Thursday, requiring emergency response and evacuations.

In 9 de Julio, Mayor María José Gentile activated a crisis committee. This was done to implement prevention and contingency plans, including clearing storm drains. The flooding disrupted pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

In Chacabuco, at least three families were evacuated from their homes. They were housed in the Hogar del Niño. Emergency operations were set up with firefighters, Civil Defense, and municipal personnel.
