Edited by: gaya ❤️ one

Gustavo Adrianzén, Peru's Prime Minister, resigned on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, ahead of a censure vote in Congress. The motion was filed due to his alleged inability to combat the country's rising crime wave.

Adrianzén, who had been in office since March 2024, presented his "irrevocable resignation" to President Dina Boluarte. He cited the country's best interests as the reason for his departure.

Boluarte must now appoint a new Prime Minister, the fourth in her two and a half years in office. The new Prime Minister will need to seek a vote of confidence from Congress.
