The European Union is exploring methods to circumvent Hungary's potential obstruction of Ukraine's accession talks.

Several member states have urged the European Commission to find solutions to initiate the first negotiation chapter, despite Budapest's concerns regarding the treatment of Hungarian minorities in western Ukraine.
