Reuters reports that Iran is preparing to supply Russia with advanced Fath-360 missiles. These missiles, with a range of up to 120 km, could intensify pressure on Ukraine. The shipments, confirmed by U.S. officials, are expected to occur in the near future. The Fath-360 missiles could allow Russian forces to strike Ukrainian troops and populated areas near the Russian border. Analysts believe this will allow Russia to preserve more modern missiles for long-range strikes. This could further strain Ukraine's air defense systems. Fabian Hinz from the International Institute for Strategic Studies notes the Fath-360 requires less preparation for launch. This allows Russia to strike targets more quickly. Ralph Savelsberg of the Netherlands Defence Academy adds that the missiles are designed for easy operation with minimal training.
