The Czech Republic is spearheading discussions to ensure the continued supply of heavy ammunition to Ukraine, potentially extending through 2026. This initiative aims to bolster Ukraine's defense capabilities amidst ongoing conflict.
President Petr Pavel announced this following a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Prague on Sunday. He highlighted the progress of the Czech ammunition initiative, which is backed by 11 countries.
The initiative is projected to deliver 1.8 million shells to Kyiv this year. This ongoing support is crucial for Ukraine's security and stability.
