Edited by: Татьяна Гуринович

European Union (EU) and Organization of American States (OAS) electoral observation missions validated the results of the recent runoff election in Ecuador on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, affirming the transparency of the process. The validation counters claims of electoral fraud made by candidate Luisa González, who alleged a manipulated outcome after her defeat to incumbent President Daniel Noboa. According to the count, Noboa secured 55.6% of the valid votes, leading González by nearly twelve percentage points, with 99.35% of the ballots tallied.
