Over the weekend, former US President Donald Trump voiced skepticism about the US delegation's involvement in the G20 summit. He stated the meeting was "very important" but also made unsubstantiated claims regarding violence against white farmers and land confiscation in South Africa. Michael Walsh, a senior fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute, suggested Trump's remarks indicate he still considers the G20 a significant international forum for the US.
